Privacy, Data Protection and Technology

Stocche Forbes has assembled a highly specialized and multidisciplinary team to provide advice on issues related to privacy, data protection and technology.

Our lawyers have extensive experience in personal data protection advisory services, especially in relation to Law No. 13.709/2018 (the Brazilian General Personal Data Protection Law - “LGPD”). We are prepared to assist our clients in the process of legal adaptation to the LGPD, in the implementation of a governance structure for the protection of personal data to comply with current legislation in Brazil, as well as training staff on good practices and protection measures of data.

We are also ready to provide legal advice to our clients in the interaction with foreign countries and economic blocs in relation to the protection of personal data.

In addition, we are able to develop frameworks focused on simultaneous compliance with multiple privacy laws for global corporations, seeking to standardize internal procedures and consolidate the corporate culture of data protection.

For the effective applicability of the legislation in force and, consequently, the compliance of the processing agents, it is necessary to establish measures, guidelines and procedures, according to the reality of each business and area of activity, in order to comply with the legislation regarding the protection of personal data in the face of the challenges presented by new consumer relations and technologies.

In this way, our team is able to meet the most diverse demands of an advisory or contentious nature involving privacy, data protection and issues related to the digital world and new technologies.

Aware of the indispensability of technological resources for processing personal data in the Big Data era, our team seeks alignment between the application of technology and the human's values protection. In this sense, we advise on best practices in the use of automated decisions, profiling tools, implementation of chatbots, among other forms of AI that are closely related to human subjectivity.
