Federal Law No. 14,273/2021 ("New Railway Legal Framework") came into force yesterday (02/06/2022), which establishes new rules for the operation of railway infrastructures and organization of the sector, and Its objective is to expand the country's railway network using mainly private efforts and resources, largely removing dependence on the initiative of the Public Administration and the public treasury.
