New decree changes time frames and regulates the transition period of the New Sanitation Regulatory Framework

On April 1, 2022, Decree No. 11,030/2022 was published to regulate the transition period provided for in Law No. 14,026/2020 (“New Sanitation Regulatory Framework”), especially with regard to the evolution of regionalization and the future of contracts considered irregular after the conclusion of the process of proving the operators' economic and financial capacity, which ended in March this year.
