In October 2017, the Companhia Ambiental do Estado de São Paulo (CETESB) began a process of calling on companies in the city of São Paulo, with priority given to those located in the regions of Barra Funda, Mooca, Chácara Santo Antônio and Jurubatuba, to carry out investigation into the potential for water and soil contamination in the properties they occupy, as set out in Resolution SMA 11/2017. Companies must carry out a Preliminary Assessment and, if potential contamination is identified, a Confirmatory Investigation to confirm or not the existence of contamination, in accordance with Board Decision 38/2017/C, of CETESB.
